August 27 final day of summer... tomorrow it begins!Tomorrow is the beginning of my 3 year adventure through the UM physical therapy program. Where has the summer gone? It should prove to be interesting. Three years, really, can fly by. If I wanted to become a priest, I would have to commit to at least 8 years! (Bless you Fr. Mike!) There will be a day in 2009 when I will look back at this entry and think, "I'm finished!!!"
But not yet. We got some work to do. August 12 baptismal rain & the one year anniversary...Nothing beats enjoying a morning run in the sweet serene rain out in the open green rolling grass... perfecto!
It was also a year ago today that I met literally thousands of World Youth Day pilgrims and volunteers in Cologne, Germany. I also met my psychosocial support team for the first time ever. Wow, how time flies! VIVA COLONIA!!! August 09 we need more young people...Yesterday morning I was at mass and I was the only person in the pews there under 50 years of age. Granted younger folk are usually more preoccupied with other tasks, but it would be nice to have more youth come out. Hence the importance of World Youth Day in fostering the spirit amongst the younger folk. I doubt we'll ever even out the demographics at mass. Perhaps one day... JPII has certainly got things moving in the right direction with WYD! August 01 use it or lose it...At my first aid course today, the woman sitting next to me asked the instructor why her blood pressure was so high, and what could she do to lower it. One look at this woman and it's no wonder why her blood pressure is so high: she's obese, she has a bag of A&W beside her, and she reeks of cigarette smoke. Go figure.
Not only that, but I catch her cheating on the final written test.
Next thing you know, she'll be suing because the airlines charge her for two tickets instead of one. |
