I had a $25 betting voucher to the Assiniboia Downs, and because they were to expire tomorrow, I decided to use them today.  After getting some help from a few friendly people there, I figured, well it's all based on chance, so let's pick a horse at random.  I bet my entire $25 voucher on a single horse to come in first place...

 

I think it came in fifth.

 

But it was fun.  I can see why people can get addicted to it.  You definitely get a rush watching your horse chug away.  This goes to show that losing can still be fun...

I haven't been keeping up-to-date with my blogs, mainly because I think it takes too long to write.  Well, things are going extremely well right now.  I have no complaints.  School is progressing as it should, the bodyfat contest is going well, and the kids at catechism are always a pleasure to teach. 

 

Of course, I'd be lying if I said that there are certain things I am sad about that I do not have in my life right now.  I think everyone's like that to some degree.

No updates here in two weeks.  I've been lazy...  when it comes to the computer anyway.  Needless to say, I'm still alive and well.  I'm still in this body fat contest, and there are still 6 weeks to go...

Happy new year!  Nothing rings in the new year better than an early AM run.  So now I've got two months to lose as much bodyfat as I can.  There's a prize at stake, and I won't let Miss Gimli take it away from me!  It's game on!
